Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Darrel Hopper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Royce Paiva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Ryoma Takatsuka and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paiva feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Hopper looking to control.
Paiva wants to control from the top but Hopper keeps moving.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Royce Paiva hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Paiva gets caught napping as Hopper dives in and scores a takedown. Paiva manages to retain guard.
Paiva not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Hopper keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Paiva's head.
Hopper has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Hopper loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Hopper throws a big right hand that misses.

Paiva has his feet on Hopper's thighs here. He's pushed Hopper off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Hopper screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
