TWGC 3 (155lbs, D1): Montreal Qualifier - Round 1 PBP Commentary


Coming up we have a lightweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Hector Linhares and Antonio Camatta. Chooooooooon! I think Linhares might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Los Sicarios, Sokol, Koras - A veces. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

In the red corner, competing out of Montreal, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Hector Linhares! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Montreal, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 2 losses; Antonio Camatta!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Steve Smith and Elvis Blanc.


The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Linhares has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Linhares seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Camatta for as long as he can get away with.

Linhares drops back, looking for a kneebar! Camatta looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Camatta looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Camatta!

Camatta has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Linhares is defending well but eventually Camatta manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Linhares has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
