The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sam closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Dunlap did well to prevent Sam getting side control.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Sam is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Sam wants to take a breather but Dunlap is having none of it.

Dunlap manages to escape and get back to his feet!

Sam gets a takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dunlap lands one or two decent shots to the body here. Although from his own half guard, he's not going to be causing too much damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dunlap is staying active underneath Sam, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Sam is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Dunlap manages to get to full guard.
Sam wants to stand but Dunlap is controlling his posture from full guard.

Dunlap has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Sam doesn't defend quickly enough and Dunlap has managed to lock this one up! Can Sam escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Dunlap on a fantastic submission victory.
