The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
MacDonald looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Dempsey walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
MacDonald connects with a looping right hand.
MacDonald lands a nice hook to Dempsey's body. Dempsey takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Nick Dempsey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
MacDonald rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Dempsey moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Oh Dempsey is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

It looks like Nick Dempsey has been cut.
MacDonald is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
