The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lynch goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Carreon shoots in looking for a takedown. Lynch tries to sprawl out of it but Carreon keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lynch manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Lynch displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Carreon.

Lynch has managed to clinch.
Carreon fails to pull the fight into his guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Francisco Carreon. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Carreon tries to pull guard but Lynch won't allow it.

Carreon pulls guard.
Carreon is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Carreon lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Carreon thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Carreon stops Lynch from getting back to his feet.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Carreon lands a nice short elbow.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
