Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Shigeki Sano and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Merritt shoots in for a double leg but Dommer sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Merritt shoots in for a takedown but Dommer shows good takedown defense.
Dommer throws a right and a left that both miss.
Merritt could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Merritt fails to land the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pablo Merritt. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Dommer feints a jab promting Merritt to slip. Dommer then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Merritt slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
It looks like Pablo Merritt has been cut.
Jeffery Dommer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dommer connects with a good right hand that stumbles Merritt. Merritt circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Dommer thuds a left hand into Merritt's body.
Dommer throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Merritt stumbling backwards into the cage! Merritt bounces back off the cage towards Dommer , who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Dommer lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Dommer celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Jeffery Dommer !
