Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Myles Boone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kendall Cross!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Joseph Jones and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cross throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Boone tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Cross is in Boone's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Boone is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Cross defends well.
Boone will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Cross looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Cross with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Cross is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Boone controls Cross momentarily but Cross frees himself.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Kendall Cross hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Cross misses with a few strikes there.
Cross stuffs the takedown attempt from Boone. Boone gets slowly back to his feet.

Cross shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Cross showed some decent athleticism there.

Cross sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Boone defending well though.
Boone trying to control but Cross postures up.
Cross is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Let's hope that Cross has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Kendall Cross.
Cross takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Cross shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Boone trying to control from the bottom.
Boone really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Myles Boone.

Cross shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Cross showed some decent athleticism there.
Boone is looking to improve his position.
Cross controlling the pace.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

and Cross counters with a nice double leg into side control. Boone won't be happy with that.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Boone can't do much from the bottom here.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Kendall Cross wasn't active enough on the ground.

Boone rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Cross moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Boone lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Cross circles away quickly and effectively.

Cross bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Cross moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Kendall Cross comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Cross has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Kendall Cross tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
