Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Irvin Potter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Gable (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Irvin Potter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dan Gable!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Bruno Lombardi and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Potter with a lazy takedown attempt

and Gable counters by moving into the clinch.

Gable gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Gable keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Potter is looking to control Gable's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Potter avoid being mounted?

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Gable changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Potter looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

and Gable counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Gable tightens his grip and picks Potter up, before dumping him to the ground. Potter manages to land in guard.

Potter might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Well Gable has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
