Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael Rogan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Manny Fernando (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fernando has chosen Miss Jackson as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Michael Rogan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Manny Fernando!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Shigeki Sano and Sosuke Kotani.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fernando fails to land the takedown.
Fernando goes for a double leg but Rogan avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Rogan continues to drive forward.
Rogan prevents a takedown attempt there.
Michael Rogan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Manny Fernando.
Fernando drops down looking for an ankle pick but Rogan pulls his leg out and moves away.
Fernando moves out of range of the body kick.
Rogan misses with a body kick.
We've been told by Rogan's head coaches at Ultimate MMA Training Center that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Rogan moves into the clinch.
Rogan gets underhooks to prevent Fernando's takedown attempt.
Fernando on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Rogan wants to get back to striking at distance but Fernando won't allow it.

Fernando tightens his grip and picks Rogan up, before dumping him to the ground. Rogan manages to land in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Fernando is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Fernando gets to his feet. Rogan looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Fernando misses with a takedown attempt
and Rogan counters with a nice leg kick.
Rogan throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.

Fernando feints and as Rogan raises his hands in defense, Fernando changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Fernando tries to free his leg and advance position but Rogan is retaining full guard.
Rogan wants to get back to his feet but Fernando is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Rogan wants to hit a switch here but Fernando passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Rogan there!
Fernando content just to control the position here.
This has been an exciting period of action!
It looks like Fernando might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Rogan tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Fernando tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Fernando get's back to his feet.

Rogan throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Fernando tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Rogan is in Fernando's guard.

Fernando has his foot on Rogan's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Rogan works his way back into a safe position though.
Rogan throws a big right hand that misses.

Rogan is posturing up here but Fernando has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Rogan tries to roll out but it's too tight and Rogan has to tap! Slick submission there by Fernando!
