Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Investitor Gradnje (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Urijah Paris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gradnje comes into the arena with Rammstein-Moskau blaring out of the sound system. Investitor Gradnje has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gradnje takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Paris has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Gradnje is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Gradnje uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Paris.
Gradnje shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Paris sprawls well. Paris wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Gradnje gets slowly back to his feet.

Gradnje feints and as Paris raises his hands in defense, Gradnje changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Gradnje stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Paris swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Paris is looking to stand up but Gradnje isn't so interested in that idea.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gradnje scoring with some ground and pound.

Gradnje drops back looking for a leg! Paris is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Paris manages to kick Gradnje off! Gradnje jumps back into Paris's guard.
Gradnje lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Gradnje cracks Paris with a solid left hand.
Gradnje has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Paris wants to sweep but no luck.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gradnje is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Gradnje is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Investitor Gradnje just wasn't active enough.
Gradnje throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Paris's waist but Paris gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Gradnje off to one side.

Paris stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Paris wants it to stay on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Investitor Gradnje. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Paris throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Nice takedown defense from Paris. No joy for Gradnje on that attempt.

Gradnje shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Gradnje showed some decent athleticism there.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Gradnje is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Paris defends it well.

Gradnje winds up and cracks Paris with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Gradnje prevents Paris from improving his position.

Gradnje is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Paris is just riding it out for now. Gradnje eventually gives up the hold.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Gradnje throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Paris has his hands clasped together but Gradnje breaks the hold and Paris is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Gradnje!
