Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jasom Bates (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mohamed Ali Said (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ali Said lands a glancing blow to the side of Bates's head.
Bates could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Bates.
The fight stays on the outside here - Ali Said looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Bates shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ali Said as he jumps to the side.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
You can see the frustration on Bates's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Bates tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.

Bates might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Ali Said avoids the attempt from Bates to control.

Ali Said is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Bates has managed to escape the submission attempt.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ali Said can't control as he wanted to and Bates manages to get the fight back to his half guard.

Ali Said looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bates is fending him off so far but Ali Said persists. Nope, Bates circles away and we're back to standing.
Bates shoots in for a double leg but Ali Said sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Bates gets caught flat footed, as Ali Said shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Bates is looking to stand up but Ali Said isn't so interested in that idea.
Bates wants to hit a switch here but Ali Said passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Bates there!

Ali Said has hold of Bates's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Bates manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Mohamed Ali Said has got the better of the ground game so far.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ali Said is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Bates can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Ali Said lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

Ali Said is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Bates can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Ali Said is in full mount looking to finish with strikes. He lands a big shot, followed by another and Bates goes limp! The ref jumps in to end the fight - a big win for Ali Said!

Mohamed Ali Said opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
