Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Freeman Chavez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kasey Puaoi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Puaoi has chosen Keys n krates Dum Dee Dum as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Kasey Puaoi has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Chavez.
Chavez throws a head kick but Puaoi moves out of range.
Puaoi stuffs the takedown attempt from Chavez. Chavez gets slowly back to his feet.

Puaoi clinches up with Chavez and pushes him back against the cage.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.

Puaoi breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Puaoi stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Puaoi wants it to stay on the feet.

Chavez tries to throw a body punch but Puaoi avoids it by throwing Chavez back against the cage.

Chavez is pushing Puaoi up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Chavez has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Puaoi after a bit of a struggle.
This has been an exciting period of action!
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Chavez is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Puaoi gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
A right-left combo lands from Puaoi.
Kasey Puaoi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Puaoi slaps away a takedown attempt from Chavez, before circling back to the center of the mat.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Puaoi. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Puaoi goes for a double leg but Chavez avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Chavez continues to drive forward.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Puaoi tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Chavez swivels and escapes.

Puaoi stuffs the takedown attempt from Chavez. Chavez gets slowly back to his feet.

A close second round but Kasey Puaoi will probably get the nod - 10:9.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Chavez.
Puaoi can't do much from the bottom here.
Puaoi tries to buck Chavez off but Chavez is having none of it.
Chavez postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Puaoi tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Chavez presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Puaoi takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Puaoi wants to control but Chavez is having none of it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Chavez avoids the attempt from Puaoi to control.
Chavez trying to control but he's not successful this time.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Puaoi tries to hold on but Chavez pushes him away.
Chavez takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Chavez can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Puaoi is looking to escape.
The referee warns Puaoi that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Chavez with shots to the head and body - Puaoi looks very uncomfortable down there.
Chavez will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Chavez is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Puaoi has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Puaoi!

Chavez has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Puaoi has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Come on Chavez - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Chavez looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Puaoi wants to get back to full guard but Chavez has passed into side control.

Chavez is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Puaoi knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
