Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Rich Booth!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Igor Kasparov!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Fedor Mirinova and Illya Tyunina.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Booth.
A jab-cross combination lands for Kasparov and sends Booth crashing to the mat! Kasparov follows him down to the mat - Booth regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!


Booth is rocked!
Kasparov is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Oh Booth is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Booth trying to hold on to Kasparov's head to control him but Kasparov postures up.
Kasparov wants to stand up but Booth is controlling the position.
Booth seems to have got his legs back now.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kasparov thows a huge punch but Booth dodges it nicely.
Kasparov throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Booth looking for submissions from an awkward position here.

That's one minute gone in the round.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Good standup being displayed there by Kasparov as he connects with a hook.
Kasparov lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Booth feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Booth looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Booth is breathing heavily.
Booth won't allow Kasparov to get back to his feet.

Kasparov kicks Booth off and gets to his feet.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Booth stuffs the takedown.
Kasparov should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Horrible takedown by Booth or perhaps it was just good defense by Kasparov which made him look bad.
Booth tries for a takedown but Kasparov sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rich Booth. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Kasparov gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Kasparov breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Kasparov moves in looking to clinch but Booth pushes him off.
Booth has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Booth shoots in but no luck this time.
Kasparov lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Booth at a distance.
Kasparov waves his right hand out infront of him, looking to distract Booth. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Booth to the canvas! Can he finish him!?
Kasparov trying to control but Booth is working from the bottom.

Booth is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Kasparov rolls with it to try and escape but Booth cranks on the arm and Kasparov is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Rich Booth!
