The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Downer defending well as Marfil loads up on a big left hand.
Downer tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Marfil manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Downer avoids the body shot from Marfil.
Downer tries to close the distance and clinch but Marfil swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Marfil looks to throw the jab but Downer is out of range.
Downer lunges at Marfil with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Marfil's hand.
A looping hook to the body misses from Marfil. Downer does a little dance to reset his feet.
