Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Teddy Head (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexey Moyanov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Teddy Head has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Teddy Head!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alexey Moyanov!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Frank Dennis and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moyanov throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Head.

Moyanov closes the distance and clinches.

Head drags the fight down to the ground.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Moyanov accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Moyanov won't allow Head to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Head looking for a sweep. Not yet Head, not yet.
Moyanov prevents Head from getting back to his feet.

Head is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Moyanov is trying to push Head away but Head has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Head could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Head tries to pull guard but Moyanov holds him up against the cage and eventually Head drops back down to his feet.
Head is trying to drag Moyanov to the mat but Moyanov just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Head has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Teddy Head just wasn't active enough.
Moyanov throws a nice looking combination but Head bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Moyanov stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Moyanov throws a push kick but Head slaps the foot to one side.
Head takes one to the side of the head.
Alexey Moyanov is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Moyanov throws a combination that misses
and Head counters with a three punch combo that has Moyanov backing up. Moyanov nods at Head to acknowledge the strikes.
Moyanov throws out a leg kick but Head moves out of range and Moyanov only half commits.

Head gets tackled into the cage by Moyanov. Moyanov maintains the clinch.
Moyanov can't break the clinch.

Head pulls guard effortlessly.
Head controlling the position.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Head is on top in guard.

Moyanov is working an open guard so Head takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
A head kick misses from Moyanov.

Moyanov moves into the clinch successfully.
Moyanov is trying to break free.

Moyanov breaks the clinch.
Moyanov throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Moyanov looks winded!

Head gets tackled into the cage by Moyanov. Moyanov maintains the clinch.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Head jumps into guard, dragging Moyanov to the mat.
Moyanov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Head. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Moyanov drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Moyanov jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Head looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Head's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Moyanov must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

We're going to have a standup here because Teddy Head wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Head scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Head fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Moyanov to the ground. Head is now in Moyanov's guard.

Head stands up from Moyanov's guard - Head perhaps looking for a knockout.

Moyanov moves into the clinch.
Head is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Moyanov gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Head tries to pull guard but Moyanov holds him up against the cage and eventually Head drops back down to his feet.

Head bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Moyanov's guard.
Head postures up and lands a big shot to Moyanov's brow.
Moyanov looking to hit a scissor sweep but Head is one step ahead there.

Head decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Moyanov, up you get!
Head shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Moyanov as he avoids it easily.
Head tries to bum rush Moyanov with a series of wild strikes but Moyanov uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Moyanov throws a sloppy head kick and Head moves out of range easily.
Moyanov connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Head's hands.
Moyanov throws a jab when Head was well out of range.

Moyanov has closed the distance and engaged Head in a clinch.
Moyanov tries to stall but Head uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Head looking for a takedown.

Head gets control of Moyanov's arms and successfully pulls guard. Head will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Head is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Head manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Head quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Head but it's paid off an Moyanov is forced to tap! Nice work by Head.
