PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Jimmy Braves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anderson Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Braves comes into the arena with I Want War by Pastor Troy blaring out of the sound system. Jones has chosen Dear Agony as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones scores with a body shot.
Jones fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Braves uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jones.
Jones misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Jones throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
A head kick misses from Braves.
Jones connects with a solid leg kick.

Braves avoids the head kick by Jones.

Braves takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Jones rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Braves moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Jones throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Braves stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Jones lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Braves backs up against the ropes.

Braves throws a hook but Jones blocks it.
Braves has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Outer Heaven Dojo - PIT Inc. in the buildup to the fight.
Jones throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Jones throws a nice looking combination but Braves bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Jones tries to score with a low kick but Braves moves his leg out of the way.

Jones throws a solid leg kick but Braves takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Jones.
Braves walks forward, straight into a front kick from Jones.
Jones moves into range and connects with a jab.

Braves throws a head kick but Jones moves out of range.
Jones avoids a punch combination nicely.
Braves takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Braves moves out of range of the body kick.
Jones lands a nice shot to the body.
Jones jabs Braves to the body, keeping him at a distance.
No joy there for Jones, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Jones throws a wild body kick that Braves sees coming a mile off.
Jones slips a jab and a cross from Braves.
Jones lets loose with a powerful body kick. Braves will feel that in the morning.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Jones throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Braves.
Jones changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Jones connects with an inside leg kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jones throws out a head kick that Braves doesn't see coming - it connects and sends Braves crashing to the mat face first! He's bounced up to his knees and is scrambling to get back to his feet and beat the count. He's up on 5 but still looks a bit groggy; will the referee allow it to continue??? He's taking a good look into Braves's eyes and has decided to let it go on!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Braves has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Jones.
A slapping body kick lands there for Jones.
Braves will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body.
Jones lands with a hook. Braves tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Jones is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Braves rather than just go for the knockout.
