Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jared Donisvitch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jason Jones!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Roger Salmon and Chris Saunders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Donisvitch blocks a jab.
Some wild striking there from Donisvitch.
No joy there for Donisvitch, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Jones has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Jones throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Jones looks to score with a jab to the body but Donisvitch is just out of range.
Donisvitch takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Jared Donisvitch seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Donisvitch tries to clinch but Jones moves out of range.
Donisvitch lands a right hook to the body.
Donisvitch will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Donisvitch definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Donisvitch steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Jones.
A telegraphed right hand from Donisvitch misses the target.
Nice defenses there by Jones.

A head kick misses from Donisvitch.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Jones enables Donisvitch to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Jones manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Jones has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Donisvitch can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Donisvitch has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Jones is proving hard to escape from.
Jones wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Donisvitch is looking to stand up but Jones won't let him.
Donisvitch might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Jones has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Donisvitch doesn't defend quickly enough and Jones has managed to lock this one up! Can Donisvitch escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Jones on a fantastic submission victory.
