Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nathan Malone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bengt Bengtsson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Nathan Malone has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Nathan Malone seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bengtsson tries to sprawl but Malone drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Malone trying to control the action but Bengtsson is working from the bottom.

Malone is looking for a kimura but Bengtsson is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Malone to get the leverage.
Bengtsson tries to kick Malone off but Malone keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Malone tries to stand and escape but Bengtsson actually recovers to full guard.

Malone stands and steps away. Bengtsson gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Bengtsson shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Malone manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Malone manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Bengtsson manages to get himself to full guard.

Malone has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Bengtsson is proving hard to escape from.

Bengtsson manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Malone on his heels. He'll look to pass Malone's guard now, I'm sure.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

That was a close round but I would say that Nathan Malone will probably get the nod.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Bengt Bengtsson hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Well Bengtsson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
