Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eric Shon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mirko Filipovic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shon comes to the cage accompanied by Jizz In My Pants. Filipovic is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Duran Duran - The wild boys. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mirko Filipovic!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Andrew Berry and James Atkins.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Filipovic throws a half hearted mid kick.

Shon drives through with a takedown into guard.
Shon controlling from the top position.
Filipovic wants to sweep but no luck.
Shon seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Filipovic can do anything to dispel that myth.
Shon tries to free his leg and advance position but Filipovic is retaining full guard.
Shon slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Eric Shon just wasn't active enough.
Filipovic goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Shon looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Shon dives in for a single leg takedown but Filipovic sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Shon tries to score a body lock takedown but Filipovic shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Filipovic's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Shon steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Filipovic. That one must have hurt.
Filipovic has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Shon is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Shon is breathing heavily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Filipovic tries a head kick but it misses.
Shon throws a head kick but Filipovic moves out of range.
Filipovic rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Shon moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Filipovic fakes the leg kick and cracks Shon in the body.
Filipovic tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Shon seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Filipovic shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Shon is backing up but Filipovic catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Shon covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Filipovic Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mirko Filipovic!
An out of breath Mirko Filipovic thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
