Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Togi Makabe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Binge ll (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Makabe's entrance music is Immigrant Song. A fine choice. The key to victory for Togi Makabe has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circling - Makabe throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

ll drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

ll decides to stand back up. ll steps back and let's Makabe get back to his feet.
Makabe tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and ll counters by clinching up.
Makabe misses with some punches.
Makabe is trying to maintain a safe position but ll gets an underhook and turns Makabe into the cage.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that ll has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Makabe wants to stand and escape but instead ll has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Makabe is looking to stand up but ll isn't so interested in that idea.
ll stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Makabe swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Makabe is trying to hold ll in close to prevent damage but ll has managed to pass into half guard.
Makabe on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Makabe tries to get out of the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

ll has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Makabe after a bit of a struggle.

I was talking to Makabe's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Togi Makabe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Binge ll.

ll has hold of one of Makabe's legs. Makabe is fighting the takedown attempt but ll gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Binge ll hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Makabe tries to clinch

and ll holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

ll gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Makabe regains guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Makabe is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but ll has just dragged him back down to the mat.

ll is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
ll has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Makabe!

Let's hope that ll has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Binge ll's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
