PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Christian Winston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and The Strangler Tessin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Winston scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Winston blocks the strikes from Tessin.
Tessin takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Tessin parries the strikes from Winston easily there. Winston is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Tessin to escape.

Tessin is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Winston's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Winston's back!

Tessin connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Winston to escape the position.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Winston accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Tessin is nestled in close to Winston, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
