Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fig Tree (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Klein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Both fighters are only really looking to counter, so after a good 30 seconds of circling eachother endlessly, the referee has stepped in and told them both to be more aggressive.
Klein throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Klein shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Tree pinned against the cage. Tree gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tree darts in looking for a takedown but Klein gets double underhooks and turns Tree into the cage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Klein is looking for a takedown.
Klein blocking some punches.

Tree escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Klein fails with the takedown
and Tree counters with a head kick.
Fig Tree has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jason Klein.

Klein looking to score a takedown here. Tree is defending well but Klein drives through and ends up in Tree's guard.
Klein trying to control the position from guard on top but Tree is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Tree is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Klein keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Tree's head.
Klein is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Klein drops back looking for a leg! Tree is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Tree manages to kick Klein off! Klein jumps back into Tree's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Tree working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Klein doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Klein manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Klein seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Klein cracks Tree with a solid left hand.

Klein is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Tree looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Klein content to stall in guard here.
Klein wants to control from the top but Tree keeps moving.
Tree is trying to control the position but Klein postures up.
Klein forces his way into half guard.

Klein is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Tree sees it coming and defends easily.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Tree tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Klein postures up in Tree's guard and throws a big left but Tree blocks it.
Jason Klein has got the better of the ground game so far.

Klein drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Klein as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Tree screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Klein! Nice submission victory there!
