These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Elias Eberhard!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Juan Velasquez!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Roosa Järviläinen and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Velasquez clinches.
Velasquez blocks a body shot from Eberhard.

Eberhard drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Velasquez gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Eberhard has hold of one of Velasquez's legs. Velasquez is fighting the takedown attempt but Eberhard gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Velasquez wants to sweep here but Eberhard controlling him for the moment.
Velasquez keeps trying to improve his position.
Velasquez is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Velasquez utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Eberhard looking to sit in guard and control but Velasquez gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Eberhard is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Eberhard can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Velasquez controls the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Juan Velasquez.
Velasquez swings for the body but Eberhard moves out of range.

Eberhard shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Velasquez's guard.

Eberhard throws a big elbow that misses.
Eberhard wants to control from the top but Velasquez keeps moving.
Velasquez bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Eberhard's guard.

Eberhard lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Velasquez!
Velasquez is trying to escape the mount.
Eberhard wants to control the pace but Velasquez is squirming around nicely.
Eberhard connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Velasquez is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

It looks like Juan Velasquez has been cut.
Eberhard throwing strikes here but Velasquez is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Eberhard is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Velasquez can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Eberhard fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!


Velasquez is rocked!
A big strike lands for Eberhard! That's really hurt Velasquez and he's turned his back - Eberhard keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Eberhard jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Elias Eberhard!
