Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lenny Bova (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roy Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nelson comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Don't Mean A Thing kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Roy Nelson!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Bruno Lombardi and Jonathan Paton.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nelson misses with an attempted mid kick.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Bova, as that shot connected.
A slow jab from Nelson misses its intended target.
Nelson misses with a jab, cross combination.

Bova darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Bova throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Bova is taking a breather. Nelson says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Nelson is looking to escape.
Bova wants to pass the guard but Nelson is defending well.
Bova trying to control the action but Nelson is working from the bottom.
Nelson wants to control but Bova is keeping busy.
Bova performing his best blanket impression for a moment.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Bova falls off balance throwing a combination
and Bova takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Bova slips a jab and a cross from Nelson.

and Nelson counters with a straight right hand.

Bova is rocked!
Nelson is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Bova flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Bova is out cold! Nelson holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
