The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sakuraba throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Takahashi looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Sakuraba keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Takahashi.
Sakuraba throws a nice looking combination but Takahashi bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Takahashi throws a body punch but Sakuraba moves out of range.

Sakuraba circles away from the clinch attempt.
Sakuraba could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Yujiro Takahashi.
Takahashi misses with a hook. Sakuraba ducked under it nicely.
Takahashi closes the distance and clinches.

Sakuraba misses with a wild combination.
Sakuraba will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Oooh a lovely combination from Takahashi sends Sakuraba down but not out. Takahashi dives into side control looking to finish.
Sakuraba is rocked!
It looks like Sato Sakuraba has been cut.
Takahashi controls the position.
Oh Sakuraba is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
I looks like Takahashi might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Sakuraba might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Despite being in the dominant position, Yujiro Takahashi just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Sakuraba wants to clinch but Takahashi slips to the side
and Takahashi counters with a right hand from hell and Sakuraba is out cold! A vicious knockout!
