The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Gwen Towbar and George Francis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Julianus wants to land a leg kick but Farmer is out of range.

Julianus throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Farmer tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Julianus is in Farmer's guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Julianus accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Farmer could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Farmer keeping moving, preventing Julianus from controlling successfully.
Julianus might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Farmer haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Julianus is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Galacius Julianus wasn't active enough on the ground.

Julianus shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Julianus showed some decent athleticism there.

Farmer throws a combination. Julianus tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Julianus pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Julianus fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Farmer to the ground. Julianus is now in Farmer's guard.

Julianus wants to get up but he can't break Farmer's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Galacius Julianus hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Farmer tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Julianus has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Farmer regains guard immediately.

Galacius Julianus has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Julianus throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Farmer was covering up waiting for the punch and Julianus finishes the takedown easily into guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Farmer has the hooks in. Julianus is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Farmer is not going to allow Julianus to sit and survive in this position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Julianus tries to escape the position.
Will Farmer go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
Galacius Julianus has got the better of the ground game so far.

Julianus rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Julianus tries to roll over but Farmer keeps him under control.

and Julianus holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Farmer wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Farmer jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Julianus walks away with a smile on his face. Farmer gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Julianus shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Farmer manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Julianus not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Julianus tries to stand but Farmer is controlling from the bottom.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Julianus wants to pass the guard but Farmer is keeping the position.
Julianus would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Galacius Julianus was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Julianus closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Farmer quickly recovers to half guard.

Well Julianus has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
