The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ho is looking to clinch.
Hopper tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ho swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Hopper looks for a takedown but Ho sprawls well.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Ho is trying to stand up here but Hopper is controlling him well.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ho can do anything to dispel that myth.

Hopper is working for a kimura but Ho is defending it quite comfortably.
Ho pushes Hopper off looking to stand but Hopper dives back in and keeps control.

Hopper is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Ho still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Ho has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

Ho is looking to take a break and control but Hopper is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Ho has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Hopper is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Ho yanks on the arm and Hopper is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Ho.
