Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marlin Pena (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Bice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, William Peck and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bice wants to clinch but Pena slips to the side
and Pena counters by moving into the clinch.

Pena is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Pena tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Bice postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Pena is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Bice, into his guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Pena accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Bice escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Pena gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Bice is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Marlin Pena.
Pena closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Bice quickly recovers to half guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Marlin Pena will probably get the nod.

Bice has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Pena is proving hard to escape from.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Pena can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Bice controls the pace.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Jason Bice showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Bice shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Pena manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Pena looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bice is fending him off so far but Pena persists. Nope, Bice circles away and we're back to standing.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Jason Bice hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Pena has a takedown stuffed.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marlin Pena. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bice fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Pena to the ground. Bice is now in Pena's guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
