Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jisuk Seo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Stirling Sanguin!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Bart Greer and Winston Alpacca.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanguin scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

Sanguin closes the distance and pushes Seo back into the ropes.

Sanguin breaks the clinch.

Sanguin closes the distance and clinches.
Sanguin is pressed up against the ropes. Seo has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Sanguin down to the mat. Sanguin avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Seo takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Sanguin manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Seo on his heels. He'll look to pass Seo's guard now, I'm sure.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Sanguin tries to stand but Seo is controlling from the bottom.
Sanguin landing some decent shots from guard.
Sanguin wants to pass the guard but Seo is keeping the position.
Sanguin wants to stand and escape but instead Seo has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Sanguin keeping moving, preventing Seo from controlling successfully.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Sanguin wants to sweep here but Seo controlling him for the moment.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sanguin can do anything to dispel that myth.
Sanguin seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Stirling Sanguin.
Sanguin pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Seo slips a jab from Sanguin.
Nice uppercut lands for Sanguin. That snapped Seo's head back.
Seo has been working on his balance at Cozad The Island, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Sanguin.
Stirling Sanguin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Seo shoots in looking for a takedown. Sanguin tries to sprawl out of it but Seo keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Sanguin manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Sanguin throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.

Sanguin forces Seo back against the ropes and clinches.

Sanguin breaks the clinch.
Sanguin misses with a looping right.

Seo gets caught napping as Sanguin dives in and scores a takedown. Seo manages to retain guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sanguin accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Sanguin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Seo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Sanguin is looking to stand up but Seo won't let him.
Seo has momentary wrist control but Sanguin slips an elbow through the middle.
Sanguin tries to stand but Seo is controlling from the bottom.

Seo trying to keep a closed guard but Sanguin is proving a slippery customer.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Seo avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Sanguin wants to stand but Seo is controlling his posture from full guard.
Sanguin trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Seo has a closed guard, preventing Sanguin from standing up.
Sanguin scoring with some ground and pound.
Sanguin trying to control but Seo is working from the bottom.
Sanguin is pushing down on Seo's leg trying to pass to half guard. Seo is fighting to maintain full guard but Sanguin has managed to sneak the leg through.

Sanguin seems to be looking for submissions.
Sanguin thows a huge punch but Seo dodges it nicely.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Sanguin is working for a submission of some sort.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Stirling Sanguin dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Sanguin jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Sanguin closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Seo's guard.
Sanguin is looking to advance position but Seo has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Sanguin squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Seo trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Sanguin is looking to improve his position but Seo isn't that keen on the idea.

Seo looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

Seo working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sanguin tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Seo goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Sanguin turns into him and now he's in Seo's guard.
Seo working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Sanguin.
Sanguin wants to get up but he can't break Seo's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Sanguin stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Seo throws up his legs and catches Sanguin in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Sanguin tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Seo! That came out of nowhere!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Jisuk Seo!
After winning the bout, Jisuk Seo thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
