Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chance Silver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and RV Malapitan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). RV Malapitan has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, RV Malapitan!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Mauricio Rocha and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silver shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Malapitan napping and manages to drive through into side control!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

We've been hearing that Silver has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Malapitan can do anything to dispel that myth.

Silver creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Malapitan sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Silver throws an elbow but Malapitan slips to the side and avoids it well.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Silver is trying to ground and pound but Malapitan uses the momentary lack of control by Silver to regain half guard.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Silver in particular looking to stall.
Silver looks to land a strike but Malapitan avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

Silver throws an elbow that misses. Malapitan uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Silver's guard. Nice move by Malapitan!
Silver has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Silver is striking but Malapitan is not phased and passes to half guard.
Silver is looking for a sweep. Malapitan is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Malapitan tries to stand and escape but Silver is controlling the position.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Malapitan working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Silver tries to roll over but Malapitan keeps him under control.

Silver slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Silver is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Silver bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Malapitan's guard.
Silver throws a strike but Malapitan rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Silver lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Silver keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Malapitan's head.

Malapitan throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Silver fails with the takedown.
Silver dives in and grabs Malapitan's left leg, looking for a takedown. Malapitan pushes down on Silver's head and hops out.
A big left from Malapitan misses.
Silver shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Silver throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Malapitan is rocked!
Silver lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Malapitan! More strikes land and this one is all over! Silver jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!
