Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Franklyn Lucas and Steve Montenegro.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Joyce takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Joyce tries to clinch
and Lawson counters with a stiff right hand.
We've been told by Lawson's head coaches at Montreal Muay Thai that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Joyce pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Lawson back to the cage. Joyce follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Lawson rushes Joyce and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Joyce changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Lawson fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Lawson lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Joyce closes this distance looking for a takedown but Lawson circles away.

Lawson clinches up with Joyce and pushes him back against the cage.

Lawson throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Lawson lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Joyce backwards.

Joyce tries to pull guard but Lawson holds him up against the cage and eventually Joyce drops back down to his feet.

Joyce is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Lawson to keep the fight standing.
Lawson lands on the inside with an uppercut.

Lawson digs a right hand underneath Joyce's ribcage. Joyce let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Lawson lands a hook that snaps the head of Joyce backwards.
Joyce jumps guard but Lawson stands there with Joyce around his waist. Joyce gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Lawson pushes Joyce against the cage. Lawson is working some dirty boxing. Lawson pushes off with a quick right hook! Joyce goes down! Joyce tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Lawson moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!
