Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alex Doumbos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ken Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Winston Howard and Ben Watson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Doumbos. Doumbos obviously looking to wear him down.
Doumbos throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Davis.
Doumbos throws a nice looking combination but Davis bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Davis staying out of range there.
Doumbos lands a head kick. Davis smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

It looks like Ken Davis has been cut.
Davis misses with an uppercut. Doumbos saw that one coming.
Davis tries to bum rush Doumbos with a series of wild strikes but Doumbos uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Doumbos throws a head kick but Davis moves out of range.
Nice jab there from Davis.
Doumbos throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Doumbos tries to move into range but Davis moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Doumbos has closed the distance and engaged Davis in a clinch.
Doumbos lands a left hand that snaps the head of Davis backwards.
Doumbos's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Davis is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Doumbos pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Davis stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Doumbos works on Davis's body with a couple of short punches.

Come on Doumbos - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Doumbos seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression.

Nice body punch from Davis - that landed with a thud.
Doumbos gets through Davis's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Davis tries a body shot but Doumbos blocks it.

Davis gets underhooks to prevent Doumbos's takedown attempt.
Doumbos is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Davis gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Davis is looking to break free of the clinch but Doumbos has double underhooks.
Doumbos lands a hook to the side of the head.
A head punch on the inside from Doumbos fails to land.
Doumbos will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Davis up against the cage.

Doumbos is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Doumbos has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Davis after a bit of a struggle.
Davis lands a right hand that snaps the head of Doumbos backwards.
Davis is trying to maintain a safe position but Doumbos gets an underhook and turns Davis into the cage.

Doumbos has Davis pressed against the cage.

Doumbos wants the takedown. Davis is fighting it off but Doumbos persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Davis's guard against the cage.
Doumbos looking to sit in guard and control but Davis gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Doumbos can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Davis controls the pace.
Davis wants to control from the top but Doumbos keeps moving.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Doumbos had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Davis defends it easily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Doumbos is trying to control the position from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Ken Davis's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Doumbos is looking to land body kicks.
Doumbos throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Davis gets caught napping as Doumbos dives in and scores a takedown. Davis manages to retain guard.
Davis wants to sweep but no luck.
Doumbos tries to free his leg and advance position but Davis is retaining full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Doumbos drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Doumbos seems to have locked his on tight now - Davis screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Doumbos, as he picks up the win!
