Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Elias Steele (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lyone Castro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lyone Castro told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Castro closes the distance and clinches up with Steele, looking for a takedown. Castro pushes Steele against the cage but Steele circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

We've been informed that Castro has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Castro shoots for a double leg takedown but Steele sprawls well. He's pushed Castro's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Steele connects with a nice short shot to Castro's temple.

That's time! Steele's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Steele throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Castro tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Steele is in Castro's guard.

Steele seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Castro for as long as he can get away with.

Elias Steele overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Steele lands a big shot there that rocks Castro but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Steele has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Castro's face.
