The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Donatello Bradman and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Locke pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Locke fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Mcconnell sprawls well initially but Locke persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Locke throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Mcconnell to regain full guard.
Locke stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Mcconnell has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Locke manages to get his head free but now Mcconnell has transitioned to an armbar! Locke grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Mcconnell! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
