Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tomo Fez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Milos Petrasek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Milos Petrasek is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Tomo Fez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Milos Petrasek!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Fedor Mirinova.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fez gets a double leg takedown into Petrasek's guard.
Fez is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Petrasek can do anything to dispel that myth.
Petrasek wants to sweep here but Fez controlling him for the moment.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Milos Petrasek hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Petrasek is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Fez's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Fez will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Fez is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

Petrasek kicks Fez off and gets back to his feet.

Petrasek escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Fez gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Petrasek has control of Fez's left arm, preventing Fez from doing any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Petrasek tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Fez smiles and moves away.

Fez throws a series of strikes that have Petrasek backpedaling.
Petrasek throws a head kick that misses.

Fez looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Petrasek manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Fez keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

Petrasek is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Petrasek controls from within his opponent's guard.
Petrasek wants to control from the top but Fez keeps moving.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Petrasek accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Fez is pushing Petrasek up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Petrasek drops down looking for an ankle pick but Fez pulls his leg out and moves away.
Tomo Fez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Milos Petrasek.
Fez tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Fez shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Petrasek sprawls well. Petrasek wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Fez gets slowly back to his feet.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Petrasek.

Fez moves out of range of the leg kick from Petrasek.
The fighters circling - Petrasek throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Petrasek fails with an attempt to clinch.
Fez darts in looking for a takedown but Petrasek gets double underhooks and turns Fez into the cage.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Fez is trying to maintain a safe position but Petrasek gets an underhook and turns Fez into the cage.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Fez is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Petrasek can't fight it off and eventually Fez manages to take the fight to the floor. Petrasek looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Tomo Fez.

Fez manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Petrasek slaps away a takedown attempt from Fez, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Petrasek feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Petrasek decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Fez misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Tomo Fez is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Fez throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Petrasek tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Fez is in Petrasek's guard.
Fez looking to sit in guard and control but Petrasek gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Fez looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Petrasek stands up from Fez's guard - Petrasek perhaps looking for a knockout.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Petrasek doesn't manage to clinch there - Fez circles away.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Fez looks to land a combination but Petrasek avoids it well.
Petrasek slips a jab and a cross from Fez.
Milos Petrasek has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Tomo Fez is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
A telegraphed right hand from Petrasek misses the target.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Tomo Fez.
Well Fez has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
