PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Thad Hunter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonathan Jordan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jordan has chosen Headstrong- Trapt as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Thad Hunter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jonathan Jordan!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hunter tries to keep at a distance but Jordan has taken the fight into the clinch.
Jordan is trying to break the clinch but Hunter has him pressed against the cage.
Hunter struggles to land a body shot inside as Jordan controls his hands.
Jordan looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Hunter jumps guard but Jordan turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Jordan manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Jordan is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Hunter is aware though and is defending well.

Jordan is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Hunter wants to get up but he can't break Jordan's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hunter is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Jordan is working an open guard so Hunter takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

and Hunter counters with a head kick. That will keep Jordan thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Hunter misses with a takedown attempt - Jordan sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Jordan looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hunter is fending him off so far but Jordan persists. Nope, Hunter circles away and we're back to standing.

Jordan gets control of Hunter's arms and successfully pulls guard. Jordan will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Hunter rolls with it to try and escape but Jordan cranks on the arm and Hunter is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
