PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fullsize Mirror (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kelly Leak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mirror comes to the cage accompanied by Ordinary Guy--- Blue Scholars. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leak misses with a two punch combination.
Leak scores with a decent looking hook.
Mirror takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Mirror lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Leak shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Mirror slips a jab and a cross from Leak.

Mirror swings wildly with an uppercut but Leak uses good head movement to avoid it.

Leak drops down looking for an ankle pick but Mirror pulls his leg out and moves away.

Leak cracks Mirror with an open hand slap.
Fullsize Mirror is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Mirror walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Leak checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Leak moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Mirror misses the shot to the body.
Leak staying out of range there.
A looping hook to the body misses from Mirror. Leak does a little dance to reset his feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mirror catches Leak with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Leak throws a series of punches but Mirror moves out of range.

Mirror does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Leak getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Mirror feints and then cracks Leak's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Leak down.
Mirror lands with an uppercut that bounces Leak off the cage and back into range.

Kelly Leak seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Leak throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Mirror digs a good hook to Leak's body.

Leak connects with a looping right hand.
Mirror does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Mirror stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

I was talking to Mirror's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Leak's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Leak is still on wobbly legs! Can Mirror finish him?

Leak struggles to land a body shot inside as Mirror controls his hands.
Mirror fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Mirror tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Mirror swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Leak lands an elbow just above Mirror 's eye.

Leak seems to have recovered his senses.
Leak stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Mirror lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Mirror creates some distance for himselfand unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Leak's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Leak drops to his knees and Mirror pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
