Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bryce Boswell!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Nicolas Arenas!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Alexandre Firmino and Leandro Rodrigues.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arenas lands a two punch combo.
Sloppy strikes from Arenas. Those never looked like landing.
Boswell tries to clinch up but Arenas circles away and keeps his distance.
Arenas tests Boswell's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Arenas looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Arenas lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Arenas connects with a body shot that sends Boswell's belly button to the back.
Arenas's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Arenas duly obliges.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Arenas bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Boswell misses with a looping right.
Nicolas Arenas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That kick from Arenas tenderised Boswell's leg. Boswell is trying to keep his angry face on.
Arenas feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Boswell's calf.

Boswell seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
No joy there for Arenas, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Arenas throws a nice looking combination but Boswell bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Arenas can do anything to dispel that myth.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Boswell shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Arenas sprawls well. Arenas wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Boswell gets slowly back to his feet.
Boswell changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Arenas tries to avoid it but Boswell manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Arenas to the ground. Arenas escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Boswell throws out a loose jab but Arenas uses good head movement to avoid it.
Boswell tries to clinch but Arenas is having none of it.

Arenas throws a right and a left that Boswell avoids nicely.

Arenas connects with a leg kick. Boswell looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Boswell closes this distance looking for a takedown but Arenas circles away.

Boswell's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Arenas connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Boswell scrambles back to his feet.
Arenas scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Boswell is rocked!
An inside leg kick lands from Arenas.
Oh Boswell is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Arenas connects with a crisp jab.
Boswell gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Arenas gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:37 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nicolas Arenas!

Nicolas Arenas decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
