The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Edwards moves into range and clinches up with Tanner.

Edwards wants the takedown. Tanner is fighting it off but Edwards persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Tanner's guard against the cage.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Edwards closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Tanner did well to prevent Edwards getting side control.
