Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ken Pangil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Velvet Prince (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ken Pangil!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Velvet Prince!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Anthony Taglia and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Prince shoots in but no luck this time.
Prince tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Pangil paws at him with a jab and circles away.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Pangil.
Prince fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Prince wants to clinch.
Prince stuffs the takedown attempt from Pangil. Pangil gets slowly back to his feet.
Pangil lands with a nice combination. Prince backs away looking to recover.

Prince closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Pangil's guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Pangil has a closed guard, preventing Prince from standing up.
Pangil manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Prince manages to get himself to full guard.

Pangil stands and steps away. Prince gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Prince throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

Pangil wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Prince is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Pangil pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Ken Pangil has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Velvet Prince.

Pangil tries to circle away but Prince has him pinned against the cage.

Prince tries for a takedown. No joy.
Prince has Pangil pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Pangil manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Pangil jumps into guard, dragging Prince to the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Prince avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Pangil pulls Prince in close to his closed guard and prevents Prince from doing any damage or advancing position.

Pangil is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Prince is aware though and is defending well.
Pangil is pulling down on Prince's head to control his posture.

Pangil is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Prince throws a punch but it's blocked by Pangil.

Prince pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Prince tries to score a power double leg takedown but Pangil sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Prince somewhat.

Pangil swats away the attempt to clinch by Prince.
Prince throws a wild body kick that Pangil sees coming a mile off.
Pangil bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Prince throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Pangil gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Prince.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Prince shoots in for a takedown but Pangil shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

The fight stays on the outside here - Pangil looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Pangil leaves Prince with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Pangil tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Prince was well out of range. Poor timing from Pangil.

Pangil shoots in looking for a takedown. Prince tries to sprawl out of it but Pangil keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Prince manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Pangil takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Prince shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Pangil defends it nicely.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Pangil is looking to work some ground and pound but Prince has wrist control.

Pangil slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Prince is trying to keep Pangil in close.
Pangil loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Pangil drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Pangil jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Pangil stands up from Prince's guard - Pangil perhaps looking for a knockout.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Pangil here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
Pangil shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Prince pinned against the cage. Prince gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Pangil tries for a takedown but Prince sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!



Pangil gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Pangil has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Prince has passed into side control.

Prince tries to stand but Pangil is controlling his head.

Prince tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.

Prince passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Pangil!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Pangil manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Prince is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Pangil manages to get to full guard.
Prince must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Pangil has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Pangil controls Prince momentarily but Prince frees himself.

Pangil is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Pangil will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Prince won't allow Pangil to sweep him here.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Prince is looking to work some ground and pound but Pangil has wrist control.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Pangil seems keen to control Prince's posture.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Pangil looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ken Pangil.
Well Pangil has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
