Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Simon Tufeksi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricardo Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Tufeksi might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Welcome Home. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tufeksi closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Silva to the mat! Silva manages to get full guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Tufeksi wants to pass the guard but Silva is keeping the position.
Our spies down at at Cozad MMA Sydney inform us that Silva has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

Silva is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Tufeksi is aware though and is defending well.
