Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Paul Poulter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ulysses Grant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Grant is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: United States of America's National Anthem. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 4 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 32 - 14 - 1, fighting out of London, Paul Poulter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ulysses Grant!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Donald Grub and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Poulter with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Grant swings for the body but Poulter moves out of range.
Poulter tries a head kick but it misses.
Grant swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Poulter counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Poulter is looking to clinch but Grant is avoiding it.
Grant swings for the body but Poulter moves out of range.
A swing and a miss from Grant.
Grant steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Poulter. That one must have hurt.
Grant throws a lazy right hand but Poulter sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Poulter scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Grant doesn't seem bothered though.
Grant throws a leg kick that is checked
and Poulter counters with a solid body kick.
We've been informed that Grant has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Ulysses Grant seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Grant connects with a nice looking jab.

Grant uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Poulter.
Grant wants to clinch up but Poulter keeps it at a distance.
Poulter has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Bricktop's House of Hard Knocks in the buildup to the fight.
Poulter takes one to the chin there.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Grant wants to slow Poulter down by chopping away at his legs.
Poulter takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Grant goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
A head kick misses from Grant.
Grant throws a shot from downtown. Poulter moves away and avoids it.
Poulter moves out of range of the strikes.
Poulter throws a body kick that misses.
Grant misses with a looping right.
Poulter cracks the inside of Grant's front leg.
Grant looks to throw the jab but Poulter is out of range.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
A punch lands to the side of Poulter 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Poulter shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
A jab from Grant misses.
Poulter tries to clinch but Grant moves out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Ulysses Grant will probably get the nod.

Poulter connects with a solid leg kick.
Grant throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Poulter.
Grant will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Good leg kick by Poulter there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

and Poulter counters with a nice low kick that buckles Grant's knee momentarily.

Grant's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

Grant has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Poulter is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

and Poulter counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Grant tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Poulter paws at him with a jab and circles away.

and Poulter counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Grant throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Poulter stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Poulter scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Donk. Poulter catches Grant right on the button with a cross.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Poulter lands a nice leg kick that just misses Grant's sensitive parts.
Poulter lands a slapping body shot.

Grant fails in his attempt to clinch.
Poulter lands a jab to Grant's midsection.
Poulter walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Grant checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Poulter feints and then cracks Grant's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Grant down.
Poulter circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Grant to the canvas! Grant doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Poulter keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:47 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Paul Poulter!
Jumping up and down and very excited, Paul Poulter waved his t-shirt featuring Milwaukee's Best Nutrition's logo in front of the cameras.
