Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sparky Sampson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dexter Morgan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sparky Sampson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dexter Morgan!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Albert Achterberg and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sampson throws a combination that misses

and Morgan counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Morgan throws a big elbow that misses.

Sampson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Morgan throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Morgan slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Sampson is looking to reverse the position.
You can see the frustration on Sampson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Sampson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Morgan gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Sampson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Morgan defends well.

Morgan has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Sampson is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Morgan is aware though and is defending well.

Sampson isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Morgan stacks Sampson on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Morgan!

Morgan tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Morgan has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Sampson has hold of Morgan's hands but Morgan slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sampson is looking for a sweep. Morgan is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Sampson has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

Morgan is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Sampson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Morgan lands a nice short elbow.

Sampson kicks Morgan off and gets back to his feet.
Morgan slaps away a takedown attempt from Sampson, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Morgan closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Sampson to the mat! Sampson manages to get full guard.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Sampson looking for subs off his back but Morgan has passed one foot through into half guard.
Morgan is trying to control. Sampson wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dexter Morgan dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Sampson takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Morgan scores with a shot to the body.
Morgan scores with a crisp jab that stopped Sampson in his tracks.
Morgan misses with an uppercut.
Sparky Sampson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Morgan feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Sampsons jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Sampson displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Morgan.
Morgan misses with a body shot.
A decent looking cross lands there for Sampson.

Sampson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Morgan's guard.

Sampson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Sampson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Sampson wants to pass the guard but Morgan is keeping the position.
Morgan trying to keep a closed guard but Sampson is proving a slippery customer.

Sampson is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Morgan uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Sampson is rocked!
Sampson is bucking up trying to escape but Morgan cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Oh Sampson is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Sampson swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
Morgan lands a big shot there that rocks Sampson but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Morgan loads up with a big shot that hurts Sampson! He's pulled Morgan in close but Morgan has postured up and lands more strikes. Can Sampson survive? More strikes from Morgan and Sampson is out! The ref jumps in to save him! Brutal ground and pound!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Dexter Morgan!
A very excited looking Dexter Morgan made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
