Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Cory Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michal Filipovic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Cory Rua!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Michal Filipovic!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Daniel Blasius and Paulsen Ambrosius.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Filipovic misses with a wild combination.
Rua on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Filipovic. Filipovic obviously looking to wear him down.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Rua shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Filipovic sprawls well. Filipovic wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Rua gets slowly back to his feet.
Rua tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Filipovic has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Rua fails with the takedown.
Filipovic misses with a double jab.
Rua changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Filipovic tries to avoid it but Rua manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Filipovic to the ground. Filipovic escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cory Rua. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Filipovic throws a head kick that half lands.

It looks like Cory Rua has been cut.
Rua shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Rua looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Filipovic misses with a head kick.
A cross from Filipovic lands.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Rua fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Filipovic throws a head kick but Rua moves out of range.
Filipovic misses with a low kick.
A jab lands there for Filipovic.
Filipovic misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rua blocks a head kick by Filipovic.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Filipovic enables Rua to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Filipovic manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Rua stops Filipovic from standing up.

Rua decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Filipovic, up you get!
Filipovic buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Rua shoots in for a takedown but Filipovic shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Filipovic throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Rua takes a head kick and keeps coming.

and Filipovic counters with a head kick that wobbles Rua - left then right he sways and one more bomb from Filipovic sends him down. This one is all over!
