The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wilder throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Chonin goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Chonin drops Wilder with a left and a right! Oh, Wilder is hurt - Chonin dives into side control looking to finish!

It looks like Freddy Wilder has been cut.
Chonin prevents Wilder from escaping the position.
You can see the frustration on Wilder's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Chonin wants to lay and pray for a moment but Wilder keeps working.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Chonin tries for a kimura but Wilder is defending well.
Chonin throws an elbow but Wilder slips to the side and avoids it well.
Chonin wants to control but Wilder is keeping him busy.

Chonin has hold of Wilder's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Wilder tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Chonin cranks the arm and Wilder screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Wilder, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
