Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kendrick Payne!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Dj Blast!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Roosa Järviläinen and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blast throws a right hand that Payne ducks under and follows up with a left that Payne also avoids with ease.
Payne is trying hard to land a takedown here. Blast sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Blast lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Payne takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Dj Blast seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Blast misses with a wild body shot.
No luck for Payne with that takedown attempt.
Blast throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Blast throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Payne's head.


It looks like Kendrick Payne has been cut.
The fighters circle momentarily. Blast darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Blast lands with a shot to the body.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Blast enables Payne to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Blast manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Blast wants to stand up but Payne is controlling him.
Payne slips nicely into half guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Blast can do anything to dispel that myth.
Payne wants to control but Blast is keeping him busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Blast is looking to escape.

Payne is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Blast is just riding it out for now. Payne eventually gives up the hold.

Payne seems to be looking for submissions.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Blast wants to get back to his feet.
Payne passes to full mount!
Blast really wants to buck Payne off and get back to his feet.

Payne is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Payne!
