The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Petrasek misses with a few strikes there.
Champlain throws a hook to the side of Petrasek's head but Petrasek sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Champlain tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Petrasek was well out of range. Poor timing from Champlain.
Petrasek shoots in for a double leg but Champlain sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

so Champlain counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Petrasek keeping moving, preventing Champlain from controlling successfully.
Champlain has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Petrasek utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Petrasek pulls Champlain in close to his closed guard and prevents Champlain from doing any damage or advancing position.

Petrasek has momentary wrist control but Champlain slips an elbow through the middle.
Champlain wants to control from the top but Petrasek keeps moving.

Champlain knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Petrasek on the ground.

Petrasek working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Champlain doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Petrasek is tightening it up a little... Champlain has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Champlain reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Champlain taps out! Nice BJJ there by Petrasek!
