And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ed Barton!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Damien Edna and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Barton gets a takedown into half guard.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Barton lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Mejia has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Mejia and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Barton jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Mejia walks away with a smile on his face. Barton gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Mejia swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Barton's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Barton dives in for a single leg takedown but Mejia sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
