Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sammy Spishak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robin Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Spishak's entrance music is Sleeping with Sirens. A fine choice. Smith has chosen Bulls On Parade - Rage Against The Machine as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that Sammy Spishak has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Sammy Spishak seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spishak fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Smith avoids it really well and circles away.
Spishak misses with a jab, cross combination.

Spishak creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Smith's defenses.

Smith tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Spishak just stands there and leans against the cage.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Robin Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Spishak lands a nice hook to Smith's body. Smith takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Spishak throws a nice looking combination but Smith bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Smith throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

Spishak working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Smith doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Smith manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
