Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rasul Khasbulaev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Urho Tappi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Rasul Khasbulaev!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Urho Tappi!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Anni Minnemäki and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Khasbulaev has hold of Tappi's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Tappi manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

The referee asks Khasbulaev politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Khasbulaev prefers to stall for the moment though.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

That's time! Khasbulaev's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Khasbulaev shoots in but Tappi avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Tappi shoots in looking for a takedown. Khasbulaev tries to sprawl out of it but Tappi keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Khasbulaev manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Khasbulaev has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Tappi can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

You can see the frustration on Tappi's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Tappi might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Khasbulaev haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
